Kelly Hankin

Never a dull moment with and never a less than enthused reaction from artist Kelly Hankin. A brilliant performer, who finds the right words, the right rhymes to shock, awe, but ironically please all, Hankin also projects her playful nature onto paper and canvas. Thick strokes of bright paint create the abstract castles where fairy tale creatures live and where everyone laughs with the same intensity as Hankin. As though she fears that the striking world she has created may slip away or be claimed by others, Hankin obsessively writes her name onto pages, canvases, and collages.
